TRM-50 Digital Overcurrent Relay with 3x3 Digit LED Display

The TRM-50 digital overload relay is designed to protect loads from damage caused by high currents while allowing control of operation.

Device usage and operating principle

1. Connect the device according to the attached wiring diagram.
2. Once the wiring is complete, connect the power supply. After powering on, the screen displays the set values for 5 seconds.
3. Set the overload value using the regulator "A>". The set value is displayed on the left screen.
4. The regulator "t" allows you to set the duration of the delay. The set value is also displayed on the left screen.

When the device is powered on:

• The relay activates, the output contact switches to terminal 3, and the OUT indicator lights up.
• If the current exceeds the set overload value (A>), the device counts down the delay time and the ERR indicator lights up.
• Once the time has elapsed, the relay triggers, the contact switches to terminal 1, and the OUT indicator turns off.

The TRM-50 series electronic current relay is designed to automatically disconnect consumers when the maximum allowed currents are exceeded. It features a programmable trigger range, trigger duration, and reverse trigger settings. There are 3 modes to return to operational state - MANUAL, SEMI-AUTO, AUTO.

Reset modes

• Manual mode: To reset the device after an overload, press the reset button. The corresponding indicator lights up.
• Semi-automatic mode: Allows the device to automatically reset the system three times in case of overload, then wait for a manual reset at the next error. The corresponding indicator lights up.
• Automatic mode: The device allows the system to automatically reset each time an overload error occurs. The corresponding indicator lights up.

Note: To change mode, press and hold the SELECT button for 10 seconds. When the mode is changed, the corresponding LED lights up.

Current asymmetry 50% (fixed)

If the difference between the highest and lowest current in the phases exceeds 50%, the device enters asymmetry error mode within 2 seconds (prevents damage to the system in case of phase loss).

When an asymmetry error occurs:

• The display group of the two phases that caused the fault flashes and the ERR indicator lights up.
• A manual reset is required to exit the asymmetry error mode.
