Digital Overcurrent Relay with 3×3 Digit LED Display TRM-100

Three-phase current relay for controlling/limiting load current in the range of 40-100 A, manufacturer TENSE (Turkey)

The TRM-100 digital relays with maximum current are designed to protect loads from damage caused by high currents while allowing control of operation.

Using the device and principle of operation

1. Connect the device according to the wiring diagram.
2. When the wiring is complete, power on the device. After powering on, the screen displays the set values for 5 seconds.
3. Use the 'A>' controller to set the overcurrent value. The set value is displayed on the left screen.
4. The 't' regulator allows you to set the duration of the timing. The set value is also displayed on the left screen.

When the device is powered on:
- The relay activates, the output contact switches to terminal 3, and the OUT indicator lights up.
- If the current exceeds the set overcurrent value (A>), the device starts counting down the timing and the ERR indicator lights up.
- Once the time has elapsed, the relay turns off, the contact switches to terminal 1, and the OUT indicator turns off.

Device description

The electronic current relay of the TRM-100 series is designed for the automatic disconnection of devices when the maximum allowed current is exceeded.
Allows adjustment of switching current, timing, and return time.
Three programs are available to return to 'work' mode - MANUAL, SEMI-AUTOMATIC, and AUTOMATIC.

Reset modes:

- Manual mode: After an overcurrent fault, the device must be reset by pressing the reset button. In this mode, the corresponding LED is lit.
- Semi-automatic mode: the system automatically resets three times after an overcurrent fault, then waits for a manual reset on the next fault. In this mode, the corresponding LED is lit.
- Automatic mode: the system automatically resets after each overcurrent error. In this mode, the corresponding LED is lit.

Note: To change mode, press and hold the SELECT button for 10 seconds. When the mode is changed, the corresponding LED lights up.

Asymmetry 50% (fixed)

If the difference between the largest and smallest phase current exceeds 50%, the device enters asymmetry fault mode within 2 seconds.
(This prevents damage to the system if a phase is lost during motor operation.)

When an asymmetry fault occurs:
- The display group of the two phases that caused the fault blinks and the ERR indicator lights up.
- To exit fault mode, the device must be manually reset.
