TRM-25 Direct Digital Overcurrent Relay with 3×3 Digit LED Display

Application of the device and principle of operation

Connect the device according to the wiring diagram. Once the connection is complete, power on the device. After powering on, the screen displays the set values for 5 seconds.

- Set the overcurrent value using the "A>" regulator. The set value is displayed on the left screen.
- Use the "t" controller to set the delay time . The set value is also displayed on the left screen.

If the current exceeds the set overcurrent value (A>), the device starts counting down the delay time and the ERR indicator lights up. Once the time has elapsed, the relay turns off, the contact switches to terminal 1, and the OUT indicator turns off.

The electronic current relay of the TRM-12 series is designed to automatically disconnect devices when the maximum allowed current is exceeded, with programmable trigger range, trigger time, and return time.
There are also 3 modes to return to the 'operating' state - MANUAL, SEMI-AUTOMATIC, AUTOMATIC.

Reset modes:

- Manual mode: After an overcurrent fault, the device must be reset by pressing the reset button. In this mode, the corresponding LED is on.
- Semi-automatic mode: The device automatically resets the system three times when an overcurrent error occurs, then waits for a manual reset when another error occurs. In this mode, the corresponding LED blinks.
- Automatic mode: The device automatically resets the system each time an overcurrent error occurs. In this mode, the corresponding LED blinks.

Note: To change mode, hold the SELECT button for 10 seconds. When the mode is changed, the corresponding LED lights up.

Asymmetry 50% (fixed)

If the difference between the largest and smallest phase current exceeds 50%, the device enters asymmetry error mode within 2 seconds.
(During engine operation, this helps prevent damage to the system in case of a single phase failure).

During an asymmetry error:
- The display group of the two phases causing the fault flashes and the indicator ERR lights up.
- If the current is less than 2 A, the device does not check for asymmetry.
- To exit the asymmetry error mode, the device must be manually reset.

Note: the TRM-50, TRM-100, TRM-200, and TRM-300 can only be used with the supplied current transformers.
