Le potentiomètre monotour 10k/5k est conçu pour être utilisé avec des convertisseurs de fréquence pour le contrôle manuel de la vitesse des moteurs ou toute autre tâche de contrôle manuel. Le potentiomètre peut être installé dans des boîtes à boutons standard (en plastique ou en aluminium) ou directement sur le panneau de commande/la carte de contrôle dans un trou de 22 mm de diamètre. Les fils sont connectés à l'aide d'un raccord à vis, la section maximale des fils étant de 2,5 mm.
