This cyclic timer can be useful for organizing automatic ventilation processes, opening and closing windows, periodically turning on heating or ventilation, or turning on or rotating advertising signs.

If the relay is configured so that its on and off times are symmetrical, it can be used, for example, to gradually switch on certain electrical appliances in the event of current/power limitation (heaters, heat generators). The presence of a switching output contact allows the cycle to be started either by pulse or with a pause.
